Declared by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, CM Relief Fund Scholarship / Nabanna Scholarship provides scholarships every year to the needy and the economically backward students, who passed the Madhyamik Examination or Higher Secondary exam or any University examination. West Bengal CM Relief Fund Scholarship 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

  1. The candidate must be a resident of West Bengal.
  2. The candidate must belong to the state board/council of secondary education board or state-aided university in West Bengal.
  3. Students must score 65% marks in the 10th or 12th class.
  4. Applicant must score 60% marks in 12th for the UG level.
  5. Students must score 55% in graduation for the PG level.
  6. The annual income of his family should not exceed Rs.60,000.


West Bengal Nabanna Scholarship  2022: Rewards & Benefits:

The selected candidates will get an amount of Rs.10,000 per year as per their course.


How To Apply Online For WB CM Relief Fund Scholarship 2022:

The application method for Chief Minister Relief Fund Nabanna Scholarship is an Offline method. There is no particular form announced by the WBCMO authority. After finishing all the process, submit this application to the given address below. Follow these steps below-

  1. Download the “Chief Minister Nabanna Scholarship 2022 Application Form” along with a “Recommendation copy of MLA or MP”, and a copy of “Self Declaration”.
  2. Thereafter fill out the application form with the required details correctly.
  3. Attach all the required documents (see below).

The selection process for the Chief Minister Scholarship is a completely merits basis. This

Q1. What is the last date for submitting an online application for the cm relief fund scholarship? Ans:   For such dates please look at the home page of the official website.

Q2.Whether I have to fill up the online application for the cm relief fund scholarship in one sitting?

Ans:   No. You can register by entering your basic details. The system would generate an Applicant-id and password for you. Please note down the generated Applicant-Id, Password. Later you can fill up the online application in as many sittings as you wish until you are satisfied that you have entered all desirable fields correctly. The software provides the facility to save your application. Once you Lock your application, you cannot be able to modify it further.

Q3. Can I edit the information already saved and up to what time?

Ans:   You can edit information filled by you, till you  Lock and forward the online application to the institute.
Q4. What details do I have to fill up in the Enrollment details of the Application form for the Nabanna scholarship?

Ans: (i)   In the Enrolment Number column enter your Roll No. in the Course/Branch you are enrolled to.

(ii)   In the Enrolment Date column enter the Date of Admission in the First year of your enrolled Course/Branch.

(iii)   In the Admission Date for Which Year you are applying for Scholarship column enter the Date of Admission/Re-admission in the Current year of your enrolled Course/Branch. (only in case of Students of the First-year this date will be same as Enrolment date)

Q5. How can I forward the Application to the Institute?



Ans:   After completion of entry and final edit(if any), click on the Edit-Lock-Print option, then on “Lock” to forward the application to the Institute.

Q6. Should I apply again for the renewal of the Scholarship (Registered Applicants)?

Ans:  From this Academic year renewal of the Scholarship will be done by Institute. You just have to inform Institute about your Adhar Card Number, and Caste certificate issuing authority to be entered application details. Any change in Mobile number, Address for Correspondence. Bank Account details have to be communicated to the Institute.

Q7. How can I apply for the cm relief fund Scholarship, if I have not availed it in the first year of the course?

Ans:  Online fresh application submission is possible only for 1st-year students. Take out a printout of the Scholarship Application form, after downloading from the Download option on the Home page. Fill it up and submit it to Institute with all the requisite documents. Institute is to be requested to register and submit a scholarship application on your behalf. You should keep a record of the Applicant Id and Password from the Institute so that you can be able to modify details and track the status of the application.

Q8. What happens if I detect mistakes after forwarding the applications to the institutes?

Ans:  You should separately inform the mistakes detected by you the Scholarship Nodal Officer of your Institute. The software provides facilities at the level of the institute to correct information provided by the applicant.

Q9. How can I edit the entries, which are not editable at the Institute level?

Ans:  If you have to edit certain entries like Institute Name, Course and Branch, annual Income, etc., which are not editable at the Institute level, you should request the Scholarship Nodal Officer of your Institute to “temporarily Reject” your application, mentioning the mistakes detected by you too. The Application will then be made available at the Applicant level, by the software. You can then log in using provided User-id & password and edit the required details. After editing lock the application again so that it will be forwarded to the Institute.

Q10.What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop-down menu?

Ans:  You should immediately approach the institute to contact with the District Welfare Officer (DWO) of the District where the institute is located. If your institute is an eligible institution, the DWO would enter it into the database, and then you can apply.



Q11. What if I forget my Applicant ID/ Password?

Ans:  you can recover your Applicant ID/ Password by clicking on “Registered students: Recover your password” from the Registered Student Log-in box. You have to fill in details like First Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and e-mail Id, as you have entered in the application while generating the initial password. The application will regenerate the Password and an SMS would be sent to your contact Mobile Number.

Q12. Can I take a print-out of my application at any stage?

Ans:  Yes. Printout of application can be taken at any stage. The finally locked application will have the “Barcode”, which is to be submitted at the Institute.

Q13. Whether I have to scan the certificates and upload them into the system before forwarding the online application to the institute?

Ans:  Yes. The system has the facility of uploading scanned copies of the Certificates, like Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, High School certificates, and Handicap Certificate (if any).

Q14. What is to be done after submitting the online application?

Ans:  After locking and forwarding the application online to the institute, you should take a printout of the application (this would come with a barcode), sign it and submit it to the Institute with requisite documents.


Q15. What documents do I have to submit with the printout of the application?

Ans:  You have to submit an Original Caste Certificate, Original Income Certificate, Copy of High School Certificate, Copy of the first page of Bank Passbook (showing IFSC Code of the Bank & Bank Account Number), and Handicap Certificate (if any) along with the print out of the Application. Institute would verify the original certificates & return them to the students.

Q16. How to check the status of my application?

Ans:   You can check the status of your application anytime. After logging in, click on “ Edit-Lock-Print Application”. Then select the “Track Status” option. This will provide you current / latest status of your Scholarship Application.


Q17. What should I do, if, by mistake, I select and forward my application to the wrong institute?

Ans:  You can approach the DWO of your district to request the Institute to “Temporarily Reject” your application. On Temporary rejection, the application will be made available to you for editing purposes. You can make the correct selection of the Institute. Then select the Course and Branch. Lock the application, which will forward the application to your Institute.

Q18. What should I do, if, by mistake, I select the wrong category and apply for the wrong Scheme?

Ans:   You can make fresh registration, by entering the correct category and applying for a scholarship in that Scheme. Institute is to be informed about the error so that there will be a Permanent rejection of your wrong application.


Q19. How can I apply for a scholarship, if  I am a student of the Institute, located outside West Bengal?

Ans:   Download the Application form from the “Download” option of the Scholarship Portal. Fill it up and submit the filled-up application at the Institute, with all the documents mentioned in the application form. Institute has to be informed to send the application, duly forwarded by the Institute, to the District Welfare Officer(DWO) of the home District of the Student.
